The web interface is good (and getting better), but TweetTree needs a desktop App to capitalize on it's excellent features.

Ideally create a desktop app based on Adobe AIR co many other Twitter clients

These would be friend lists, and clicking on one would show the tweets from just those users in the group.

I would love to see an option to post via HelloTxt so I don't have to go around updating all my accounts... yeah I know, I have OCD.

I think it wouldn't be too hard since laconica support a lot of twitter's API.

Mark all tweets as read so I can easily see which ones are new next time I log in. This can just be stored as a date, and any posts after that date are considered new.

Please make a number of tweets in per page flexible. I want to increase and decrease a number of tweets in per page as I like :-)

Tweetree reloads the full page when clicking on the "Refresh to see ... new post." on the top of the stream.
It takes too long to reload the whole page and it kinds of break the flow - which is one of the points of having linked content embedded in the stream.
It would be a usability bump if you could just reload the new post and display them on top of the stream.

Simply send a DM to the group and Tweetree could automatically send out DMs to everyone in the group for you.

I'd like be able to click, shift+click, ctrl+click, or something of the like to a friends list to send them messages or link to them when I'm talking about them

I'd prefer instead of the given time stamps "Dec 30, 01:22 AM" time stamps the way twitter does them: "two minutes ago" or something similar.

Allow me to sort by different people's tweets, to me, from me, full conversations of others, my full conversations, just generally allow me to sift through all this info easier.

Find a way to integrate twitter search/ TwitScoop - ideally without ruining the 'simple' UI you have right now. Another tab perhaps.

..like Vimeo, blip.tv, Viddler, Revver, etc.

Since twitter doesn't do this anymore, tweets would have to be harvested manually from everyone you follow I suppose. Tweetree is most useful for @ replies to people you don't follow, and now twitter does not even show these... if it is not too problematic, please bring this back on tweetree.
